Awesome images of Damarakloof

It was an eventful evening today on Damarakloof farm. After a day of video editing and helping Dee to move into our new home, I went for a walk in the fields and captured some amazing sunset images. Then in the evening I heard the sound of thunder and grabbed my Canon 7D and Yongunuo remote wireless shutter release and headed for the lower lake. I set up the tripod, put the camera on and set it to Bulb mode. I set the aperture to F4 to let in as much light as possible and changed to ISO to 320.

The next step was to point the camera towards the Stellenbosch mountains where most of the lightning strikes seemed to be hitting. It was then a case of holding down the remote shutter and counting to 40 or 50 before releasing it. (This gave me time to capture a strike while ellowing enough light to reach the sensor. It was very dark where I was standing and the only thing that I could use to focus on was the street lights on the N1.  I had a few good hits in this time period. I then decided to be adventurous and try a long expose panoramic image capturing the lake, the sky and the lightning at the same time. I did 5 images counting to 50 each time and moving the camera to the left each time and was lucky to capture 3 strikes. It then started to rain so I headed off home. I stitched the image together and was very pleased with the result. What do you think?
