Here are some photographs from Lindie and Jannie's Wedding taken in and around Aurora on the West Coast. Lindie is a wedding photographer and so I was very pleased when she asked me to take her pictures of her special day.... As you can see we got some "WOW" images of their day and we where over the moon when Lindie told us how much she and Jannie love the pics. Check out my new photography website at www.sgmproductions.weebly.com or E-mail me at sean@sgmproductions.co.za for a wedding photography quote.

Awesome images of Damarakloof
It was an eventful evening today on Damarakloof farm. After a day of video editing and helping Dee to move into our new home, I went for a walk in the fields and captured some amazing sunset images. Then in the evening I heard the sound of thunder and grabbed my Canon 7D and Yongunuo remote wireless shutter release and headed for the lower lake. I set up the tripod, put the camera on and set it to Bulb mode. I set the aperture to F4 to let in as much light as possible and changed to ISO to 320.
The next step was to point the camera towards the Stellenbosch mountains where most of the lightning strikes seemed to be hitting. It was then a case of holding down the remote shutter and counting to 40 or 50 before releasing it. (This gave me time to capture a strike while ellowing enough light to reach the sensor. It was very dark where I was standing and the only thing that I could use to focus on was the street lights on the N1. I had a few good hits in this time period. I then decided to be adventurous and try a long expose panoramic image capturing the lake, the sky and the lightning at the same time. I did 5 images counting to 50 each time and moving the camera to the left each time and was lucky to capture 3 strikes. It then started to rain so I headed off home. I stitched the image together and was very pleased with the result. What do you think?

Bronwyn and Marcus Wedding 15 Dec 2012
We solved the mottled lighting problem or at least diminished it by using flash to fill in the shadows. On the couples shoot we used shade, flash and reflectors wherever possible.
I love shooting weddings and it is amazing how the adrenaline kicks in when you are pushed for time and you have to get the shots no matter what. It really tests your ability as a photographer, and I like that. My wife, Dee was the second shooter and it was fantastic to see her working different angles on the day. She got some awesome shots in addition to my own.
I still have a few thousand images of their special day to work through, sort and edit, but here is a sneak peak....You can click on an image for a larger view. If you like our work, then please like us on facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/SGM-Productions/158301737605681?ref=ts&fref=ts
